WHAT THEY SAY

about the course

The proof is in the painting!

I’m an artist with experience in oil paints and portraits, and I’ve worked full-time as a floral print designer for around ten years, but it wasn’t until taking Natasha’s Complete Compositions (and later her Watercolour Academy) that I ditched the Wacom pen and transitioned fully into traditional painting for my designs.

Watercolour Academy was a deep dive into levelling up and experimenting with new techniques - not only did her lessons push beyond what I thought I'd be able to do with watercolour, they also reminded me of the simple joy you get from playing with colour! Building on insights gained through CC, the skills I acquired through Natasha's mentorship now form the core of much of my daily practice. Natasha is a font of design knowledge, offering artistic wisdom with a personal approach to teaching - all while fostering a wonderful and supportive community of artists and designers. She’s given me a renewed passion and excitement for design, and a network of fellow creatives to keep the positive energy flowing!

This is a Masters Degree in all things watercolor.

I love Natasha’s floral painting secrets - and I thought I had learned most of them in Complete Compositions. But I kept looking at all the gorgeous florals on her IG feed and I just knew - there were Many More Secrets for her to dish out about that wonderful world of watercolour techniques. I was just learning watercolors when I took CC the first time, and my painting skills improved immensely with that course. I stalked her IG feed, and the #watercolourbootcamp so I could see the student’s work. Then - when the timing was right - I took the class.

Wow - Watercolour Academy took things to the whole next level. From wet on wet, controlling bleeds, dry brushing and embracing negative spaces and best of all Fixing Mistakes - I was in watercolour heaven.

If I could, I would take it every time just for the live paints with Natasha. That opportunity, to try to keep up with an expert who is explaining as she goes, is invaluable.

I was very fortunate to join Natasha's floral painting course

Since leaving uni, I was on a mission to learn floral painting as florals are a huge part of textiles. I was very fortunate to connect with Natasha and join her floral painting group at the right time. Natasha's yrs of experience with painting florals helped me a great deal as she patiently answered any questions about painting, designing and anything textile-related. Natasha helped transfer her skills to us through video demos, live Q&A to pick her brains and also breaking down the painting process easily using many different mediums for painting.

I would highly recommend learning from Natasha as my painting improved within a few months and was able to get a job within textiles because I had 'strong floral painting' skills which I didn't have before! Thank you, Natasha!

It's opened up so many new possibilities that I'm starting to explore with my work.

I entered the Watercolour Academy course with no painting education. I hoped to learn about tools and techniques that I could translate into my own style, rather than copying another artist's look. What I walked away with was this and so much more! Natasha is an incredible teacher, with a talent for helping her students discover their superpowers and expand their creative and technical skill sets. Her honest, encouraging, and actionable feedback motivated me to keep practicing my flower painting so I could take it to the next level. I’m grateful for everything I learned in the Watercolour Academy. It's opened up so many new possibilities that I'm starting to explore with my work.

I personally don't love just learning to paint like other people, so really learning tools and techniques that I could translate into my own style was very valuable and appealing. I had no formal paining training before taking this class and I signed up with the intent to skill-up. I can't believe how far I came in a short period of time with the combination of practice exercises from the videos, briefs, and hot seat sessions with Natasha.

I got so much more out of this course compared to other online courses I have taken, and it cost a lot less. Investing in this made me want to keep learning from Natasha, so I signed up for the Complete Compositions course. I knew that would be worth it too (and it totally has been 🙂 ). The investment I made in the Watercolour Academy really made me see what was possible.

Natasha is the most incredible teacher

being able to learn under someone who is as talented as she is patient and kind is a rare gift. The detail she goes into is amazing, and she is really easy to learn from - especially with her videos where you can pause, repeat and learn at your pace. Obviously she is at the top of her game in terms of skill, but I feel like a huge part of what makes her an amazing teacher is she strips away the fear of learning - as beginners (myself included) we are all scared of starting something new. But this is a teacher who makes you feel valued, and like one step forward is the biggest win in the world. Thank you Natasha, for brightening my life in ways you will never really understand and know.

I learned so much from this course in a short period of time.

It made me realise every stroke is planned, every highlight and lowlight is planned, every negative space is planned, but the beauty lies in creating florals that look so effortlessly chic. The whole course is a perfect process for the brain. As you progress with the course, the topics, techniques, tips and tricks starts to make more sense. By the end of the course, you have this whole concept of florals amalgamated and easy to create using multiple techniques in one single painting.

Natasha solely plays an important role in making us realise we can paint and be happy if we would just let go of the fear of mistakes or outcome. It makes you realise there is more inside you, if you paint without fear of the result. The course is a must if you are passionate about floral painting!

I thoroughly enjoyed the course

bringing people from all around the world together to enjoy, converse and encourage each other in our own work and love for floral painting. I found the course to be clearly laid out with each week focusing on a specific technique within watercolour painting, which was very easy to digest and absorb as we weren't overloaded with too much all at once. Your teaching style was simplistic, easy to follow, enthusiastic, friendly and was a joy to watch each week as it was clear to see your love for floral painting shine through and pass onto others. I've taken away lots of new techniques and I'm seeing how to paint particular flowers in a whole new light whilst feeling more confident in my work, so thank you!

Soft ethereal bleeds

I loved the loose nature of the techniques, they were so experimental and freeing.

This course was so much fun! I loved the loose nature of the techniques, they were so experimental and freeing. To me, the biggest value of this course came from the live sessions. Natasha encourages self critique, as well as giving her expert opinion on how to elevate your work, embracing your individual style. This isn't a classic painting course, it's more about learning how to make all those splodges and bleeds work together in a coherent way.

Natasha is an incredibly talented and amazing teacher.

I've loved taking part in the Watercolour Academy. Natasha is incredibly talented, an amazing teacher and a lovely person. She shares SO much helpful information with you, it's definitely value for money. I have learnt a lot about watercolour techniques and have definitely seen an improvement in my own painting. Thank you Natasha!!

Learning to not overthink and that we 'paint brushstrokes not flowers' took the pressure off.

EMMA DYSON

It will undoubtedly help me to make more beautiful prints.

This bootcamp has helped me to go a step further in my floral watercolors, which will undoubtedly help me to make more beautiful prints

Watercolour Academy was amazing

Natasha breaks down her talent and methods into units that allow you to grow at a very regulated pace. By the end, you find using all that was learned from each unit together all at once. It’s amazing. The group chats fostered by Natasha are inspirational. She creates a very open and creative space with which to thrive. It’s a wonderful journey she offers up. My own creative business will benefit from Watercolour Academy.

MARCI Roesler

I started working with a studio and I found that my painted florals are selling the best so far.

The watercolour academy helped me gain confidence in painting and gave me the information about materials, techniques and skills to improve my watercolour designs in general. I was so impressed with Natasha’s way of teaching and how much I improved from the start to the end that I decided to take part in complete compositions aswell. I now sell my watercolour prints in a shop in my city which I wouldn’t of had the confidence to do before the course.

A thirst for growth and evolution is what seperates

The Watercolour Academy is packed with techniques and information you don't find anywhere else online. Tools to get you painting those beautiful, loose florals in a few short lessons. It is a valuable course for both beginners and experienced painters as you always learn something new, refine your techniques and push yourself in new ways. Natasha's wealth of knowledge and industry work has set her as a leading authority on watercolour florals that sell. From bold colours and beautiful bleeds to knowing how to add foliage and fine details to make your paintings a step above. What always puts her courses to the next level are the live feedback sessions where she takes all the time needed to go through your work, giving you honest feedback and offering suggestions to help take your painting and skills higher as well as answering any questions you have. I now have more confidence in my painting skills and love to experiment and push my boundaries, constantly growing as an artist.

I absolutley believe Watercolour Academy is worth every penny. It stands alone from Complete Compositions, you don't need one to do the other. Both courses cover so much detail and this one deep dives into watercolour techniques you won't find elsewhere. Natasha's extensive knowledge and abilities in watercolour are astounding. She loves teaching and helping anyone reach their potential.
